A three-game Test series between Pakistan and England is scheduled to begin. The first Test between the two teams will take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium on October 7 to begin the series. The Pakistan Cricket Board, or PCB, came forward and revealed the team for the opening game of the Test series.
Pakistan will enter the series having just lost two of the previous three tests against Bangladesh. It was a landmark event for Bangladeshi cricket as the team faced Bangladesh in their own backyard and lost both games. The squad will gather in Multan on September 30 in advance of the series, while training camp will begin on October 1 of that year.
Shan Masood remains as captain
The players who were chosen for the opening Test have withdrew from the Champions One-Day Cup playoffs, which is noteworthy and will allow them recover ahead of the series. Pakistan will be looking to make significant progress and secure a win over England following their previous performance against Bangladesh.
We are very much looking forward to the series: Jason Gillespie
Along with the selection announcement, Jason Gillespie, Pakistan’s red-ball coach, spoke out about the significance of allowing the players to get some much-needed rest before the series.
Prior to the Test series against England, it makes sense to give our players some much-needed break because they have a hectic domestic and international cricket calendar.
