Shikhar Dhawan, the former India opener, has announced the release of his debut autobiography, ‘The One,’ on Instagram with an emotive and heartfelt video. The reel has struck a chord with cricket fans in India, who are keen to learn more about the life of one of the country’s most tenacious opening batters.
The news was accompanied by a really moving letter from the 2013 Champions Trophy Player of the Tournament.
“Not every victory makes it into the highlights. Not every loss appears on the scoreboard. ‘The One’ tells the story of everything that happens in between. Of learning, unlearning, and turning up every time. “This one comes from the heart,” Dhawan wrote.

Shikhar Dhawan called time on his career in August 2024.
He represented India in 34 Tests, 167 ODIs, and 68 T20Is. The southpaw scored 2315, 6793, and 1759 runs in the three formats, respectively.
During his international career, he had to go through hardships in his personal life. He was married to Ayesha Mukherjee from 2012 to 2021. A divorce was granted on the grounds of mental cruelty inlficted by Ayesha on Dhawan. The star cricketer was not granted permanent custody of their son, Zoravar. He spoke publicly about his sorrows, which stem from not getting to meet his son for long durations.
