Afghanistan’s best bowler was Fazalhaq Farooqi, who took 4/34 in ten overs. Additionally, Mujeeb Ur Rahman (2/38) claimed two wickets.

Top scorer in Afghanistan’s run chase is Azmatullah Omarzai.

In response, Afghanistan’s chase was off to a poor start as they lost their first wicket, Rahmanullah Gurbaz (0 off 4) in the first over alone. Rahmat Shah (62 off 74) and Ibrahim Zadran (39 off 57) combined for 73 runs for the second wicket, though, to steady the batting. Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi (58* off 74) and Azmatullah Omarzai (73* off 63) engaged in an undefeated 111-run partnership after being dismissed, which enabled their team to chase down 242 in 45.2 overs and win the match by seven wickets.
