A recent question posed to former England cricketer Nasser Hussain asked him to select the young players he believed would go on to become the game’s future superstars. Former England captain Shubman Gill of India and Rachin Ravindra of New Zealand were among the players he quickly named as his chosen ones.
Shubman Gill is a terrific talent and a future star for Team India, according to him, who also said that the young player must have learned a lot from batting with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.
With Shubman Gill, I’m going. His first three-quarters and nine-tenths of 2023 were, in my opinion, extremely good.
With somebody like Rohit Sharma on the other end, he must have learned a lot. Perhaps his form declined due to a minor illness that struck him towards the conclusion. With his exceptional talent, he will undoubtedly become India’s next big thing in the next few years. Hussain said in a video that the ICC released, “Hopefully, he will have a good 2024.”
At the top of the order, he was a revelation when given the opportunity: Nasser Hussain
Nasser Hussain also praised Rachin Ravindra’s performance, the young player who essentially stole the show at the 2023 ODI World Cup and ended as one of the competition’s top run scorers. Hussain thought Ravindra would be able to carry on his incredible run of form in the future.
Rachin Ravindra was the one who really made the World Cup shine. I had seen him a few times in England before the World Cup. Shaking things up, he entered the Lord’s order. That he could play, I supposed. He proved to be a revelation when given the opportunity to lead the order. Nasser Hussain expressed optimism that the man could keep improving.
