[Watch] IPL 2025: Mohammed Siraj’s peach undoes Rohit Sharma in GT vs MI

At the storied Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Mohammed Siraj’s spectacular delivery dismissed star opener Rohit Sharma during the Gujarat Titans (GT) vs. Mumbai Indians (MI) IPL 2025 match. In a spectacular recovery, Siraj, who had given up consecutive boundaries, cleaned up Rohit with a ball that caught the former MI captain off guard.

The ball bounced off bail and into the middle after slipping through the space between bat and pad. Siraj abandoned his opening partner Rickelton early, and Rickelton likewise walked back.

Both GT and MI had lost their initial games of the tournament and came into the encounter seeking their first victory. After winning the toss, Hardik Pandya, the captain of Mumbai, decided to bowl first. With the help of Sai Sudharsan’s half-century, the home team was held to 196/8. Even though Jos Buttler and Shubman Gill made contributions, they were unable to turn them into significant scores. Taking two wickets, Pandya was the best bowler.
