As Team India prepares for its trip to England in 2025, Sony Sports Network has released a nostalgic and impactful trailer for its new docuseries, “Bharat Tum Chale Chalo, Kahani 2021-22 Ki”. The series will bring viewers face to face with the hard work and behind-the-scenes aspects of India’s historic 2021 Test trip of England.
The 2021 trip was one of India’s most successful Test campaigns in recent memory, with strong performances and intense on-field events. Due to COVID-19 disruptions, what began as a five-match series was reduced to four completed Tests, with India leading 2-1 before the fifth Test was postponed and ultimately played in 2022, which the hosts won.
Sony Sports Network’s original docuseries revisits this epic series,
Providing fans with a never-before-seen glimpse into the minds and emotions of those who experienced it. The series boasts a large panel of narrators, including Ravi Shastri (then India coach), R Sridhar (then India fielding coach), Sunil Shetty (actor and KL Rahul’s father-in-law), Nick Knight (English cricket pundit), Vivek Razdan (commentator), and Rajkumar Sharma (Virat Kohli’s childhood coach).

The tour had many moments, especially during the iconic Lord’s Test, which saw the visitors make a brilliant comeback, thanks to a memorable stand between Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami. Virat Kohli’s now-famous on-field speech, “For 60 overs, they should feel hell out there,” also took place in the same game. Meanwhile, the series release date is still to be announced, but it is expected to be successful as that of ‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum’ (Docuseries of India’s tour of Australia 2020-21).
Furthermore, India’s upcoming tour of England is set to feature five-Test matches between June and August 2025 at historic English venues – Headingley (Leeds), Edgbaston (Birmingham), Lord’s and The Oval (London), and Old Trafford (Manchester).
