The three-match ODI series between Australia Women and New Zealand is set to start on December 19, with the first ODI. Wellington’s Basin Reserve will host all three games. Australia’s ace spinner Sophie Molineux has been ruled out of the ODI series due to a knee injury, which is a major setback ahead of the upcoming series.
Despite her chronic knee problem, Sophie Molineux played the final two games of the series, helping Australia defeat India 3-0. She was uncomfortable at the end of the ODI in Perth, and the problem has continued. All-rounder Heather Graham has been called up to join the ODI setup in Molineux’s place to take her spot.

According to a statement from Cricket Australia, Heather Graham will go to New Zealand on Tuesday after Tasmania’s Women’s National Cricket League game against New South Wales in Hobart.
Alyssa Healy, the captain of Australia, however, had to withdraw from the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 later on because of a knee injury. Even the next series against India was missed by her. In the forthcoming series, Healy will lead the team against the White Ferns and make a comeback.
