At Bengaluru’s Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) brutality took Royal Challengers Bengaluru out of the game. RCB chose to bowl first after winning the toss in an effort to take advantage of Bengaluru’s chasers’ winning trend. However, they were unaware that a tornado known as Travis Head was approaching. In just 20 deliveries during the powerplay, the SRH opener took the RCB bowlers to task, scoring a half-century.
By scoring eighteen runs from Lockie Ferguson’s over, he established the goal. In just 41 deliveries, he hit 102 runs, smashing a scorching century. Abhishek Sharma gave him excellent support before leaving the game with 34 runs scored. Next was Heinrich Klaasen, who insisted on starting large from the very beginning. He set Sunrisers Hyderabad up to surpass their previous record when he hammered 67 runs in just 31 deliveries.

After appearing reserved at first, Aiden Markram joined the celebration when the RCB was unable to apply any pressure with their bowling changes. Abdul Samad gave Markram excellent support by chopping everything in his path with his blade. The pair scored 56 runs in just 18 deliveries, wreaking havoc at the end of the inning. Sunrisers Hyderabad lost just three wickets over the course while amassing an incredible 287 runs on the board.
SRH is a new historical society in town.
The Indian Premier League has never had a higher total than 287. In the 2024 edition, SRH beat RCB’s previous record when they faced the Mumbai Indians. To beat RCB’s 263 record, they blasted 277. In front of historians at their home field, they rewrote history in just about a month following their historic accomplishment.
‘X’ users responded as follows to Sunrisers Hyderabad’s onslaught against RCB:
Sunrisers Hyderabad are only after the records this season. Crazy hitting. Solid from openers. Klassen continued that momentum, Samad and Makaram finished the inning on similar note. #RCBvsSRH
