IPL 2025: SRH vs GT – Stats & Records at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad

In a rare IPL 2025 single-header, Sunrisers Hyderabad will play Gujarat Titans at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday.

In their season opener at this location, SRH set a new total, but they lost the following three games. The SRH team lost a lopsided match against KKR in their most recent match. With the ball, SRH won the powerplay, but KKR rallied thanks to the partnerships of Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi.

The hosts then reached the 200-run milestone thanks to an explosive final burst from all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer. Vaibhav Arora’s powerplay strikes put SRH on the defensive, and their chase never got underway. KKR bowlers hit every time SRH attempted to rally, and ultimately the hosts suffered their biggest defeat in IPL history—a loss of 80 runs.

After losing their first game, the Gujarat Titans bounced back to win two straight. In their most recent match at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, GT easily defeated RCB by eight wickets.

Tim David, Jitesh Sharma, and Liam Livingstone all contributed to RCB reaching a solid 169, but GT pacer Mohammed Siraj used the bowler-friendly conditions to his advantage in the powerplay itself. Jos Buttler and Sherfane Rutherford gained speed after Sai Sudharsan gave them the foundation to execute the pursuit, despite GT’s poor start.

There is no reasons to think that the nature of the surface will change from its run-heavy infamy. SRH’s slam-bang approach has come under the scanner, but a high total will be on the cards.
