At 34* (11), Stoinis finished the innings undefeated after a vicious batting outburst that included one four and four sixes. The highest scorer, captain Shreyas Iyer, hit 82 off 36. He hit six fours and as many sixes in his scorching knock. PBKS used their powerplay to its fullest earlier in the evening, hitting 89.
Shami’s second-most costly IPL spell sets an unwelcome record.
After giving up 75 runs during his four-over stint, Shami recorded the second-most costly spell in IPL history, cementing his place in an unremarkable list.
