Jagadeesha Suchith, Prashant Chopra, and Bhupen Lalwani have moved to Uttarakhand ahead of the 2025/26 domestic season. The trio will begin their term by competing in the upcoming Uttarakhand Premier League.
Suchith, who was born in Mysore, had represented Karnataka before joining Nagaland. He made his domestic cricket debut in April 2014, playing in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Suchith went on to make his List A and First-Class debuts in subsequent seasons. Although Suchith only played for Nagaland for one season, he was extremely successful, taking 43 wickets in six FC matches and finishing as the Plate Group’s leading wicket-taker.
Chopra, aged 32, made his debut for Himachal Pradesh as an 18-year-old in February 2011. Chopra, unlike Suchith, has spent his whole domestic career representing Himachal.
Last season, he scored 171 runs against Uttarakhand, for a total of 386 runs in seven FC matches.
He has played 81 red-ball games and scored 5093 runs. Chopra has also played 103 List A and 70 T20s, scoring 4012 and 2035 runs, respectively.
As for Lalwani, his domestic career kicked off in January 2020. He has played for Mumbai and Chhattisgarh so far. The top-order batter moved to Chhattisgarh ahead of the 2024-25 season. He played only a couple of FC matches for them. All in all, he has played 16 FC and three List A games until now. Lalwani averages 31.90 and 29.33 in the two formats, respectively.
There have been a significant lot of players who have migrated to different states ahead of the upcoming domestic season. The most prominent transfers have been Karun Nair returning to Karnataka, Harshal Patel returning to Gujarat from Haryana and Jalaj Saxena and Prithvi Shaw leaving Kerala and Mumbai, respectively, to join Maharashtra.
