[Watch] ENG vs IND 2025: Washington Sundar succumbs to Jofra Archer’s superb caught & bowled

England made an early impression on Day 5 of the current third Test at Lord’s by dismissing Washington Sundar thanks to bowler Jofra Archer’s sensational caught and bowled. The game, which appeared to be evenly poised at stumps on Day 4, saw the hosts make early progress on the final morning, taking three vital wickets, including Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Sundar, in India’s quest of 193.

India started the day on 58/4, needing 135 runs to win with six wickets in hand. Rahul, unbeaten at 33 overnight, was India’s best hope. However, England’s pace assault ripped through India’s middle order. Archer started the day by removing Pant and uprooting his off-stump. The Archer’s second victim was all-rounder Sundar, who walked back for a duck after only facing four balls.

Archer delivered a full throw that angled into Sundar’s pads.

The southpaw attempted to flick it through mid-wicket but closed the face of the bat early, causing the ball to take a leading edge. In his follow-through, the speedster dove to his right to complete a one-handed stunner. Notably, Sundar’s wicket came only an over after Rahul was dismissed by Ben Stokes. With three wickets falling in short succession, India is suddenly in a precarious situation.
