As the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) enters its intense Rivalry Week, all eyes will be on the match between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 10 at Bengaluru’s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The seasoned Indian actor Suniel Shetty was questioned on a show if he would back KL Rahul or Virat Kohli in the highly awaited match. The 63-year-old actor responded earnestly, stating that while he wants to see Rahul’s team win, he also wants Kohli to hit a lot of runs during the match.
Along with praising the 36-year-old, Suniel Shetty described the star batter as his all-time favourite.
He commended the energy with which Kohli plays every game, his unwavering devotion to the game, and his unparalleled fitness. Shetty commended Kohli for his unwavering perseverance and hard work.
Rahul will win, and Kohli will reach 100. However, I’ve always loved Kohli. Hats off to the grind; the way he plays the game, his whole strategy, his level of fitness,” Suniel Shetty stated on JioStar.

The IPL veteran, who has played for just one side during his career, has been a member of the RCB team for 18 years. However, during the IPL mega auction in November of last year, the DC purchased wicketkeeper-batter Rahul, who had previously captained the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
With Kohli having already hit two half-centuries in the 2025 IPL and Rahul having just played in two games, both players are playing well this season. Rahul produced a vital half-century against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
A high-scoring thriller is what spectators can anticipate because the game features two greats. To date, DC has won all three of its games, while RCB has lost just one of their four games. It will be important for both teams to keep up their momentum and hold onto their standing in the standings.
