On social media, cricket fans have taken a strong interest in Champak, the IPL pet, and on match days, players, referees, and supporters have shown their affection for him. Additionally, the robotic dog has been entertaining to commentators.
Former famous batter turned pundit Sunil Gavaskar was one of the analysts who was recently spotted playing with the IPL pet. Apparently having made a new buddy in the competition, the 75-year-old cricket commentator was spotted bouncing and running around with the IPL pet. In addition to the IPL’s official social media website posting a video of the “Little Master” playing with Champak on X (previously Twitter), the video has gone viral on social media.
The 1983 World Cup winner, who is typically renowned for his sober analysis of the sport and unreserved criticism of individuals and teams, showed his lighter side once more. Despite having retired from the game a long time ago, it is reasonable to say that Gavaskar still exudes the same enthusiasm and intensity that he did in his heyday.

The day where two little masters stole the spotlight
Sunil Gavaskar was not the only legendary batter who stole the spotlight, as it was not only a thrilling royal derby but also the 52nd birthday of the ‘God of Cricket’, Sachin Tendulkar. While Gavaskar’s joyous side was celebrated on social media, the Mumbai Indians also celebrated Sachin’s birthday with a quiz on his best career moments on Instagram.
It is safe to say it was the day of two legends stealing the spotlight in one way or the other and the fans will celebrate the day of April 24 knowing that it was the day a legend of Indian cricket came into the world.
