Suresh Raina, a former cricket player for India, thinks RCB could win their first IPL championship in 2025. Raina asserted that the three-time finalists have been participating in another league during the current season and appear destined to make it all the way to the end before the 18th edition of the league resumes.
According to the former CSK player, RCB’s bowling has been crucial to their success in the 2025 Indian Premier League. Speaking on RCB defeating CSK in both of their games under Rajat Patidar‘s leadership, he called it a noteworthy accomplishment. Notably, RCB has defeated CSK by a double for the first time in the league’s history.
This year, Royal Challengers Bengaluru is participating in a separate league, thus there are good chances. At Chinnaswamy, their bowling team has performed well, as they have protected scores of 150 and 136. “It speaks volumes that the new captain has defeated the Chennai Super Kings twice, once at home and once in Chennai,” Raina stated on Star Sports.
Virat might finally win the title this year: Suresh Raina
Raina went on to say that the feeling in the RCB dressing room is upbeat and that it is an indication of a team that can win. Although Raina conceded that teams like the Gujarat Titans, Punjab Kings, and Mumbai Indians have been playing well, he added that he believes Kohli and the RCB will break their 18-year losing streak this year.
Positive vibes permeate the locker room, and these indicate a club that has the potential to succeed. It’s possible that Virat will finally hoist the title after 18 years, even though the Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans, and Punjab Kings are all performing well,” Raina continued.
The 58th match of the IPL 2025, which is scheduled to begin after a temporary stoppage brought on by tensions between India and Pakistan, will pit RCB against KKR. Meanwhile, the weather forecast indicates that rain may have an impact on the game at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
