In the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024, young Musheer Khan gave a fantastic performance. Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav bestowed great accolades on the 19-year-old batter following his spectacular century for India B versus India A at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. On the first day of competition, September 5, the Duleep Trophy 2024 edition showcased some incredible moments.
The teenage Mumbai batsman took 205 balls to get his century, hitting two sixes and ten fours during his innings. Khan’s first-ever century in the Duleep Trophy and his third overall came from this bowl. In addition to applauding the batter’s efforts, SKY also acknowledged Navdeep Saini’s involvement on social networking platform X.

At the completion of Day 1, Musheer Khan is unblemished at 105.
Interestingly, an injury suffered by India C’s Suryakumar Yadav kept him out of the game before it started. After suffering a sprained right thumb in the Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament, Yadav was ruled out of the Duleep Trophy’s opening round.
When India B was under pressure from an experienced India A attack, Musheer Khan’s innings arrived at a critical moment. After a nervous start, he took charge of his squad and guided them to a solid total, accounting for over half of their 202 runs at the end of the first day.

Given the difficult circumstances, Khan gave an incredible performance. With cloudy sky and a green top wicket that favoured the seamers, the action got underway. The batsman nevertheless persisted in batting throughout the day and applied constant pressure to the opposition.
