In the T20I series, the Indian squad defeated England 4-1. Both bat and ball performances that were game-changing were seen by the audience, but fielding is another element that cannot be overlooked. To ensure that the England batters never escaped, the players made vital catches and saved vital runs.
For their efforts, the best fielder of the match or series receives a medal, as is customary in the Indian dressing room. T Dilip, the Indian fielding coach, oversaw the Impact Fielder of the Series award ceremony, which was presented to the player who was most reliable throughout the course of the five games. Additionally, Varun Chakravarthy, who had improved on the field, was recognised by T Dilip for his hard work.
Then, Dilip awarded T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav the privilege of presenting the victor with this medal.
Dhruv Jurel, who similarly appeared shocked at the end and was unable to speak after receiving the medal from the T20I captain, finally received it from the T20 World Cup 2024 winner after he had spent the entire dressing room taunting Varun Chakravarthy. Additionally, the players applauded Jurel.
