The first T20I with Abhishek Sharma, Rinku Singh, and Washington Sundar took place in Gwalior on October 6, and they prepared hard in preparation. In addition to being in the nets, captain Suryakumar Yadav was observed encouraging his teammates as they smashed the ball all over the place.
The footage of Abhishek, Rinku, and Washington smashing sixes was posted on social media by BCCI. India is expected to play a similar, aggressive brand of cricket, especially in the shortest format, with its coach Gautam Gambhir assuming charge of the national squad. Kolkata Knight Riders played with an attacking mindset throughout the IPL 2024. The next T20I series will reveal whether or not the training video was a preview of things to come.
The captain, meanwhile, was supporting each of his colleagues’ shots. He was overheard boasting to Rinku about his terrible strength as driven Washington exclaimed, “Good shot, Washi!” The Mumbai native was equally pleased with Abhishek’s skill to compose shots.

India’s starting lineup was revealed by Suryakumar Yadav.
Alongside Abhishek, Sanju Samson will start the innings, the captain confirmed. With Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal out of the picture, the Kerala-born cricketer has opened for the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League and has a great chance to make an impression on the team’s coaching staff.
“Sanju Samson will bat first in this series with Abhishek Sharma,” Suryakumar declared at the media briefing prior to the game.
In the nets, Mayank Yadav also made an impression on the 34-year-old. He said that the Delhi-born pacer, who is considered an X-factor, might make his debut for his country in the opening Twenty20 International match against Bangladesh.
“When he played franchise cricket, it was clear that he possesses the X factor. He moves with a little more speed. We had a net strategy where someone else confronted him, so I didn’t face him in the nets.

I have witnessed his potential and the impact he can have on the squad, though. According to that perspective, I think he is a terrific addition to the Indian team, and I hope he performs well,” Suryakumar remarked.
