Prominent Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav is very close to playing again. During India’s Twenty20 International series against South Africa, the 33-year-old suffered an ankle injury that has kept him out of action for several months.
In the T20I series, he captained the Indian squad in South Africa while Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya were away, but the injury destroyed his aspirations for the future. It’s also important to mention that he recently had surgery in Germany and posted reflections about the experience on Instagram.
Suryakumar Yadav clarified in a post on his Instagram account that the surgery he underwent was for a sports hernia injury rather than an ankle problem. He also disclosed that he is feeling well and is eager to return to the field.
