The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has now included the famous Indian T20I captain in their list after first announcing a 17-man squad without Suryakumar Yadav.
In the first leg of the Ranji Trophy match against Maharashtra, Yadav also participated and scored seven runs in the opening inning.
The star batsman has been added to Mumbai’s squad for the match on Tuesday, December 3, according to TOI. Shreyas Iyer, who guided the Kolkata Knight Riders to an IPL championship in the 2024 season of the lucrative competition, is most likely to be the captain of the Indian team.

The 34-year-old recently led India to a 3-1 series win over South Africa. His participation will be crucial for the team even if he only scored 26 runs in three innings during the most recent South African series.
Suryakumar is now anticipated to return to the team in early December after initially been predicted to miss the first games. His addition comes at a critical moment as the squad seeks to improve their standing in the competition and make a serious run for the playoffs.
His most significant contribution was his altruistic choice to give up his favorite No. 3 batting spot to allow Tilak Varma, a new player, to smash back-to-back hundreds.
