At the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium on Sunday, April 20, in the ongoing match between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru,
Suyash Sharma claimed the wickets of Josh Inglis (29 off 17) and Marcus Stoinis (one off two) in his third over.
The bowler found enough grip off the deck to beat his outside edge and uproot the off-stump, but Inglis retreated to loft the ball over the off-side. A few balls later, a cleverly disguised googly broke through the space between Stoinis’ bat and pad, disturbing his stumps.
Earlier in the evening, Krunal Pandya dismissed PBKS’ opening batsmen after sending them in to bat. He did this by striking twice in a row. The hosts scored 62/1 to dominate the powerplay, but RCB maintained the lead in the following overs.

Nehal Wadhera (five off six) and Shreyas Iyer (six off 10) both had very poor batting performances. PBKS got off to a good start with to Priyansh Arya (22 off 15) and Prabhsimran Singh (33 off 17), but they were unable to build on their individual starts.
RCB confirmed earlier in the day that Romario Shepherd would replace Liam Livingstone. Iyer declared their starting lineup from their last match to be the same. For those who are unaware, on Friday, April 18, the two teams squared off. In a rain-shortened match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, PBKS won by five wickets.
PBKS and RCB were in third and fifth place on the points table, respectively, before to the current match. Both teams have participated in seven IPL 2025 matches. The net run rate of RCB is higher than that of PBKS, though (+0.446 vs. +0.308). Given that they win the present match, RCB has a good chance of reaching the double-digit mark on the points table.
