Many individuals have expressed their opinions on this issue. Saqlain Mushtaq, the former great spinner for Pakistan, joined the trend by talking candidly about his encounters with the Indian board the previous year and criticizing them for their outbursts. He therefore wants the Green Shirts to defeat India in the next high-stakes match between the two bitter rivals in order to teach the board a lesson.
The PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) and the Indian board, often known as the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), were at odds with one another in the run-up to the 2025 Champions Trophy. The main causes of the disturbance were the Indian team’s refusal to visit Pakistan and their disapproval of the host country’s insignia on their uniforms.
Their outbursts never stop. They are being praised by us. The kids here are eager to meet Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli. Their tantrums never stop, but every child here wants to watch them in action. I have no idea what their goals are or what kind of world they live in. When will they become wise and intelligent? When are they going to let their hearts open? You believe you have become civilized by wearing a tie and speaking in English? Hindustan Times (HT) cited Mushtaq as stating, “Pakistan should stand up and teach them a lesson.”
Saqlain Mushtaq talks about his experience with Indian visas.
The 48-year-old recalled an incident involving his difficulty obtaining an Indian visa, stating that it was delayed for months and that he ultimately was unable to go to join the New Zealand camp. Notably, Saqlain Mushtaq was hired as a spin consultant for the tour after the Kiwis defeated India in their own territory, but he eventually received an offer from his native country.
“I made an online reservation for a visa appointment from my home in Leicester, and two weeks later, I received my appointment. I was forced to wait in line for four hours. I was quite embarrassed by the treatment I was receiving, and I was also dissatisfied. The former Pakistani icon went on, “You won’t believe how many people I approached (to get my visa processed).”
“They said that it was in the processing line. For three months, the situation didn’t change. I received this offer from PCB in the meanwhile. Thus, I turned down the visa. Saqlain Mushtaq came to the conclusion that the Indian officials had also accepted the fee without acknowledging it.
