On May 13, a startling incident happened in Savalagi hamlet, which is in the Bagalkot region of Karnataka.
After a quarrel over a cricket ball, a 21-year-old guy viciously assaulted a teacher. The incident happened during a friendly cricket match on school grounds when the ball allegedly fell close to the home of Ramappa Pujari, a 36-year-old elementary school teacher.
The accused, Pavan Jadhav, went up to the instructor to get the ball. He was apparently told by Pujari, however, that the ball had not entered his property. A small verbal debate quickly developed into a furious argument and even violence.
Jadhav attacked the instructor out of rage. After shockingly stabbing Pujari with a knife and a shattered bottle, he fled the scene.
The teacher sustained numerous facial injuries in the vicious attack, and he was taken right away to a private hospital for medical attention. CCTV footage of the entire incident sparked significant indignation and anxiety.
Using the tape, the local police quickly identified and apprehended Jadhav. The incident has also sparked concern about the rise of juvenile hostility and the critical need to address this behaviour early on with appropriate advice.
