On March 29, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Hardik Pandya and R Sai Kishore square off in a fierce match between the Gujarat Titans (GT) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 2025 Indian Premier League. Pandya came out to bat after losing a lot of wickets in the middle overs as they chased a massive target of 197 runs.
On the fourth ball of the fifteenth over, Hardik Pandya guarded the ball back to the bowler, setting off the drama.
As the hitter proceeded to retrieve the ball, Hardik caught eyes with the spinner, who continued to look at him. Hardik motioned for Sai Kishore to leave, but the bowler continued to stare at him while he picked up the ball.
The umpires rushed in the direction of the players as soon as they noticed the atmosphere heating up. After that, Pandya left the bowler, who picked up the ball and returned to his mark.

The Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, lost the match by 36 runs after failing to reach the mark of 197. After losing to Chennai Super Kings by four wickets in their season opener, they suffered their second straight league defeat.
The opening game’s skipper, Suryakumar Yadav, smashed four sixes and one boundary to score 48 off 28. He made a concerted effort to win the game, but the other hitters did not back him. With two wickets apiece, Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna were the Titans’ best bowlers. Sai Kishore and Kagiso Rabada each contributed by taking a wicket.
