The final will be between India and Australia, and India win by one run: Michael Clarke

Former Australia captain Michael Clarke believes India will win the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. Clarke thinks that India would defeat Australia by the smallest of margins—just one run—when they face off in the final.

Note that the two well-known sides haven’t faced off in a 50-over ICC tournament since the 2023 ODI World Cup final, in which Australia crushed Indian hearts with a decisive victory. But Clarke is convinced the Men in Blue will do the opposite this time.

My prediction is that Australia will play India in the Champions Trophy final.

In addition, Clarke gave Rohit Sharma a lot of praise and said that if India wins, he might end up earning the most runs in the tournament. Just before the Champions Trophy, the Indian captain’s form returned with a fast-paced century against England in Cuttack, and Clarke is confident he will be a key player.

There is no denying that Rohit Sharma is back to his former glory. As evidenced by his century in Cuttack prior to CT 2025, he is hitting the ball quite well. In certain circumstances, he plays a crucial role. In order to maximise the powerplay, he must play with that aggressive mindset.
