After the batsman stood out in the team’s opening match against Australia in the present ODI World Cup in Chennai, Virat Kohli sister Bhawna hailed her brother. Against the Kangaroos, the 34-year-old hitter had one of his most memorable international innings.

The next ODI World Cup 2023 match for Team India will be played in Virat Kohli home stadium.
Speaking of Virat Kohli’s experience in the major tournament, he scored hundreds in his first two ODI World Cup matches against Pakistan and Bangladesh in 2011 and 2015, respectively. The right-handed batsman had missed out on his 48th century in ODIs against Australia, which would have been a well-deserving century. However, his stunning knock made the entire country proud.
To put more emphasis on fielding, the team management has decided to give a medal to the best fielder in each of their games. India’s first match against Australia marked the beginning of this endeavor. By winning it and being the first recipient of the “Best Fielder of the Match” medal, Kohli created history.
Virat Kohli also broke Sachin Tendulkar’s previous record for the most runs scored for India in ICC (International Cricket Council) competitions during his innings.
On Wednesday, October 11, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, Kohli and Team India will play Afghanistan in their second game of the current tournament. On October 18, in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, a high-stakes match between India and Pakistan would be contested.
