In the IPL 2025 (Indian Premier League), Ashwani Kumar, a young bowler, made a spectacular start by dismissing KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane as his first victim. When Tilak Varma first mishandled the catch, the left-arm pacer felt uneasy. On the second try, though, Varma was able to catch it, letting the up-and-coming pacer enjoy his unique moment.
Interestingly, Ashwani’s first IPL ball resulted in Rahane’s wicket. For the young bowler, it was the beginning of his dreams and a turning point in his career. As his team attempted to build on the early lead, his breakthrough wicket gave them a much-needed boost.
As KKR continued to lose wickets steadily from both ends, they found themselves in difficulty. The youthful player attacked the hitters after Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar struck early with the new ball. The batters for KKR did not hold back and kept up their aggressive smashes even after wickets fell.

Ashwani’s fantasy With the ideal bowling setup, the IPL debut got underway.
Ashwani Kumar had placed the point fielder outside the 30-yard circle, making for an excellent field set. As per the pitch, Kumar bowled. Rahane swung his bat at a broader delivery he delivered. The ball travelled precisely to Tilak’s position. The ball first slipped out of Varma’s hands when he grasped it.
He made amends for his mistake, though, and retrieved the ball with his right hand to preserve the child’s moment. Ashwani celebrated his IPL career’s ideal start. For the kid pacer, it ended up being a remarkable experience.
Ashwani’s IPL debut was fantastic. The young pacer claimed 4/24 in his 3 overs for MI against KKR, which included the significant wickets of Andre Russell, Rahane, Rinku Singh, and Manish Pandey. Ashwani prevented the three-time champs’ middle order hitters from taking their strokes.
The youthful pacer consistently took wickets anytime Hardik asked him to, so MI didn’t need to worry. For an uncapped bowler making his IPL debut, he recorded one of the finest spells ever. By reducing KKR to 116 runs, MI gave themselves a strong chance to win the first IPL 2025 match.
