Fans have seen some incredible cricket action thus far in the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024), which has been a blockbuster season. Not only have the players given outstanding performances, but there have also been some peculiar incidents on the pitch. Tilak Varma struck the spider cam in the final over of the first innings of Match 33 between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI), causing yet another unusual sight to be seen.
When Harshal Patel bowled the fourth ball of the over to the southpaw, he hit the ball in the air towards deep mid-wicket, but it was a wide delivery from outside off stump. But as the ball struck the spider cam’s head and returned to the pitch, it got in the way. Patel was irate and resorted to miming his remarks to express his frustration, forcing the umpire to signal a dead ball and forcing him to bowl the fourth delivery again.
