In recent years, Travis Head has become one of India’s worst enemies. To break the hearts of the Indian supporters, the Australian opener blasted hundreds in the 2023 ODI World Cup final and the World Test Championship final. In the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), Head is presently playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
In response to a question on his relationship with Indian cricket supporters, Travis Head expressed his admiration for the Indian cricketing culture.
He talked about his recent conflicts with the Men in Blue as well.
“I accept it as it is. I appreciate that India has such a large population and a large country. I’ve been quite lucky to perform well in a few games. I suppose I exaggerate it because it’s not in my character. Some of the things that are released, like the Australia vs. India match, the outcome, or my performance, make me laugh, but they no longer motivate me. “I just go and try to have fun and play well,” Head said to News 18.
In the past eighteen months, I’ve faced India on several occasions and have performed admirably, but they’ve also performed admirably against us on a few occasions. He continued, “I can definitely feel that connection with the fans.”
The Sunrisers, who were runners-up the previous season, have not had a strong IPL 2025 campaign. The Orange Army’s campaign began with a victory over the Rajasthan Royals at home. Nevertheless, they have lost to the Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Lucknow Super Giants three times in a row. The team that is now wallowing at the bottom of the points table is Pat Cummins and Co. They will play again on Sunday, April 6, when they play the Gujarat Titans in Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
