The Delhi Capitals (DC) and Mumbai Indians (MI) are playing the 29th IPL 2025 match at Delhi. DC won the toss and chose to field first. With a rapid 41 off 25 balls, South African batsman Ryan Rickelton gave the MI openers a strong start.
The DC bowlers were dominated by Tilak Varma, who took over after a few wickets fell. Varma tried a big shot off a tossed-up delivery outside off in the 13th over, which was bowled by Vipraj Nigam, but he miscued it high into the air. The DC fielders Jake Fraser-McGurk and Tristan Stubbs, who entered from deep midwicket and long-on, respectively, made a mistake.
Eventually, Tristan Stubbs went for the catch despite his concern of colliding with his fellow DC player.
He was out of position because of his hesitancy, and the ball went to the boundary for four after spilling off his hands.
Nothing can be worse than this if two best fielders of Delhi Capitals will drop catches like this

MI batters, meanwhile, are in command and keeping up a respectable run pace. Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav dismissed Rickelton and Suryakumar Yadav (40 off 28). Both Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam ultimately ended their stints with two wickets apiece. Nigam took out MI captain Hardik Pandya and opener Rohit Sharma.
With only one victory from their first five games and a ninth-place finish in the standings, the Mumbai Indians are eager to turn things around and start the 2025 Indian Premier League again. On the other side, DC is hoping to continue their winning streak in the competition as they lead the points table with four victories in four games.
