On Wednesday, April 16, in Match 32 of the current Indian Premier League between the Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Tristan Stubbs hit Wanindu Hasaranga for a huge maximum over the deep midwicket fence. Stubbs’ first boundary of the innings was noteworthy.
The delivery was a little too hurried to miss. The powerful sweep travelled far into the stands. In addition, it was the first of Hasaranga’s two maximums during the game’s opening innings. DC scored 188/5 at the end of their inning. Stubbs finished 34* (18) undefeated.

With 49 off 37 deliveries, Abishek Porel led the scoring. KL Rahul contributed 38. The middle part of the innings got a much-needed boost thanks to captain Axar Patel’s 14-ball cameo, which saw 34 runs scored.
In addition to Tristan Stubbs, the only batter still undefeated was Ashutosh Sharma. Out of 11 deliveries, he scored 15.
Jofra Archer was given a two-fer by RR. The most costly bowler was Tushar Deshpande, who gave up 38 runs in three overs. Just 14 runs were scored in Sandeep Sharma’s opening three overs. However, the right-arm medium pacer’s stats were ruined by a 19-run fourth over to end the innings. Riyan Parag bowled just six runs in his lone over.
Both DC and RR entered the match having lost to the Mumbai Indians by 12 runs and Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 9 wickets, respectively. In their first five games, the DC has won four of them. However, in their first six games, RR has lost four of them.
