Cricket enthusiasts and analysts are agog over the newest developments surrounding the much-anticipated IPL mega auction, which is currently in the spotlight. In a funny declaration, he said he would play Dhoni until he was eighty years old. In addition, he said that it would be very impossible to imagine an IPL without Dhoni and that he is a unique figure in cricket worldwide in addition to his existence in franchise-based tournaments.
“I think that MS Dhoni was the sole player who deserved to have the uncapped player rule reinstated, since we want to see him play till he is 80 years old. “Whenever you talk about cricket anywhere, his name always comes up,” de Villiers stated on his 360 degree podcast and YouTube channel.

Interestingly, according to the BCCI, a player can be deemed uncapped if they haven’t played for India in the previous five years or if they have a central contract with the organisation.
