Star cricketer Rishabh Pant of India sustained numerous injuries in a horrifying vehicle accident on December 30, 2022. He had numerous surgeries after that, and after spending the most of his recovery in rehab, he is ready to play cricket again against the Punjab Kings on March 23. Given that Pant has already enrolled in the DC camp in Vizag, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has granted him a fit certificate for the 2024 IPL.
The cricket player has previously admitted to being a “little nervous.” He last competed professionally on December 25 against Bangladesh; since then, he has only participated in exhibition games. But Pant went on to say that while he is happy to return and it gives him chills to think about it, he isn’t concentrating on it right now.
“I think there are going to be some really exciting times, but there will also be some anxiety.” It is absolutely fine to converse and enjoy yourself when sitting outdoors, but entering the field creates a completely different ambiance.
Therefore, I’m a little anxious, but I believe that’s part of the process and the nature of the game, as Rishabh Pant stated on the Club Prairie Fire podcast.

I’m really looking forward to it because I’m not sure how I’ll feel when I first go onto the field. I should not think about that all the time, even though it gives me chills. I’m thinking about it, just in a simplified way, in certain portions of my head. It means having fun every single day with great energy and being upbeat with other people, the 26-year-old continued.
In the meantime, Pant’s return to head the Delhi Capitals in the forthcoming campaign has been confirmed. Even though the team management believes he is fit to maintain wickets as well, they might not take a chance on him right now given the availability of Tristan Stubbs and Kumar Khusagra for selection.
