UP Nawabs, the newest team in the Abu Dhabi T10 League, is owned by venture investor and philanthropist Lavish Choudhary. With a strong roster that includes leg-spinner Adil Rashid, top-order batsman Dawid Malan, wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Tymal Mills, and Andre Fletcher, the squad is prepared to make its debut in the upcoming eighth season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
As they get ready to celebrate their arrival, the squad feels that the combination of foreign talent makes them a formidable force in the competition.
Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, which has emerged as the new home of T10 cricket and provides a venue for quick 90-minute matches with only 120 balls per game, will host the eighth season of the Abu Dhabi T10 League. With over 100,000 anticipated this season, the format has become a fast-paced spectacle due to its enormous popularity since its launch in 2017.
The journey of owner Lavish Choudhary from Ghaziabad and Muzaffarnagar demonstrates his strong ties to his heritage and his enduring love of cricket. With this new endeavour, he can combine his passion for the game with his astute investing strategy to build a team that embodies the tenacity and spirit of Uttar Pradesh.
“Cricket has been a fundamental part of my life, and owning a franchise in the AD T10 League is a dream realised,” expressed Lavish Choudhary, a passionate cricket fan, on his goals for the squad. My goal with UP Nawabs is to make Uttar Pradesh proud on the international front and make us a strong team in the league.
