On Friday, January 3, the Indian team began play at the Sydney Cricket Ground in the fifth and final Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT 2024-25). As has been the case throughout the series, the visitors came in to bat first to start the match, but the team’s top order once again fell short.
KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal left for 4 and 10 runs, respectively. In addition, Virat Kohli scored 17 runs while Shubman Gill added 20. Star batsman Rishabh Pant has been trying to steady his team’s batting after losing four wickets.
Rishabh Pant, who is known for his aggressive batting, went viral after hitting Australia’s Beau Webster for a huge six.
Pant skipped down the track and hit Webster’s delivery for a straight six on the third delivery of the 46th over. The ground crew had to use a ladder to recover the ball since it had travelled so far. On social media, the same clip has been going viral.
