At Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium, the 36th IPL match between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is presently in progress. After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, LSG captain Rishabh Pant’s team amassed a dominant 180-run total in the 20 overs they were given.
14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut for RR as an Impact Player, replacing regular captain Sanju Samson and Sandeep Sharma,
Who were both sidelined by injuries sustained in the team’s most recent game against the Delhi Capitals (DC). Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav started the innings together.
On his first ball in the IPL, he faced Shardul Thakur. The young prodigy’s arrival was remarkable. Vaibhav stayed leg-side of the ball and produced a beautiful drive high over the cover for a six after Thakur bowled a good-length delivery outside off stump. The spectators, his batting partner, the bowler, and even the opposition captain were all in awe of the shot. Vaibhav Suryavanshi made history by becoming the youngest player in IPL history to make such a significant debut at the age of 14.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the Rajasthan Royals’ openers, got off to a strong start against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), scoring 61 runs in the powerplay. LSG scored a respectable 180 runs in their 20 overs earlier in the first innings.
Ayush Badoni, who entered as the Impact Player, contributed a vital 50 off 34 deliveries, while opener Aiden Markram spearheaded the attack with a cool 66 off 45 balls. Abdul Samad’s explosive cameo, which saw him smash 30 runs off just 10 balls, including four sixes in the penultimate over bowled by Sandeep Sharma, brought the innings to a frenzy.
Wanindu Hasaranga, who took two wickets in his four-over performance, was the best bowler for Rajasthan. RR will be motivated to win their third IPL 2025 game with the support of the home crowd at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. LSG, meanwhile, will be aiming for their fifth win and getting closer to a postseason berth.
