The youngest player in Indian Premier League (IPL) history, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, talked with Musheer Khan on Sunday, May 18, explaining why he seemed emotional after being sent off for the first time this season.
At the IPL 2025 mega auction, Suryavanshi was bought by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) for INR 1.10 crore. He made his debut in the 10-team competition on April 19 against the Lucknow Super Giants and immediately made an impression with a scorching 34 off 20 balls. After Aiden Markram dismissed him, he was walking back to the pavilion, and some supporters noticed that he appeared to be crying.
On the other hand, Suryavanshi told Musheer that he wasn’t crying after hitting 40 off of 15 balls against Punjab Kings on Sunday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The bright screen lights and eye pain, instead, irritated him and caused him to touch his eyes, even though everyone assumed he was crying.
Does roya main yaar exist? It’s the major batata, aarey kuch nahi. The question is, “When did I cry?” That’s not what it was, I assure you. In an image shared on social media by Rajasthan, Suryavanshi was heard stating, “My eyes were hurting a lot.”
Vaibhav roya ki nahi?

Despite the fireworks of Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Jaiswal, the Royals fail.
Interestingly, Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 40 runs off of 15 balls on Sunday, blasting four fours and as many sixes. RR reached 209/7 in their 20 overs because to stunning half-centuries from Dhruv Jurel and Yashasvi Jaiswal. They were still 10 runs short of PBKS’s 219/5 first-inning total, though.
Nehal Wadhera and Shashank Singh crushed thrilling half-centuries for Punjab. In this high-scoring match, Harpreet Brar was the best bowler, taking three wickets while giving up only 22 runs in his four overs.
