Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a 14-year-old sensation for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), was spotted batting in the nets on Sunday, April 13, before the team’s match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Jofra Archer was up against the youthful U-19 player, pushing the prodigy to the limit with his blazing pace.
Jofra Archer and Vaibhav Suryavanshi were two purchases that drew the interest of RR supporters. Suryavanshi, who is still very young, had demonstrated his skill in the U19 circuit, while Archer was making a long-awaited return after 2020.
Even though Suryavanshi hasn’t played yet this season, some fans are still hoping he can continue to put on strong performances in one of the most competitive T20 competitions. Archer has led the assault effectively thus far with the new ball.
Even though Archer bowled with good rhythm and hit Suryavanshi with several vicious bouncers, the video showed some promise for the budding star. Many batters’ confidence might have been impacted, but the U19 Asia Cup finalist showed no signs of giving up as he played some aggressive strokes against the England pacer. Archer was apparently taken aback by a few of the photos as well.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is praised by Tabraiz Shamsi.
Former RR player and South African left-arm wrist spinner Tabraiz Shamsi also saw the video and commented on how the competition has helped prepare young players for the major events. Shamsi was impressed to see a bowler like Archer bowling to the young kid.
“A 13-year-old in the nets against Jofra! If he plays for India and faces two face-quick bowlers in international cricket, do you think he’ll be concerned? Indian cricket has benefited greatly from the IPL, but it took time for this to happen. Shamsi wrote on X (previously Twitter) that the @SA20_League would “do the same for SA in the future.”
