[Watch] IPL 2025: Emotional Vaibhav Suryavanshi makes heartfelt call to father after record-breaking century

In match 47 of the 2025 Indian Premier League, Vaibhav Suryavanshi made a heartfelt video call to his father following his historic 35-ball century against the Gujarat Titans at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

While having a video conference with his father, Suryavanshi was seen with Romi Bhinder, the RR manager. Sanjiv, Suryavanshi’s father, was ecstatic with his son’s bat-related exploits. When asked who he would like to call first, Suryavanshi mentioned his father, Sanjiv. The father-son exchange, which is becoming very popular on social media, was very endearing.

Sanjiv gave Bhinder credit for his assistance and even acknowledged that it was a dream come true for Suryavanshi’s family. Bhinder, for his part, graciously refuted the compliment and praised Sanjiv’s diligence and faith in the adolescent sensation.

As he accepted his Player of the Match award, Vaibhav Suryavanshi shared his feelings.

He was thrilled with his performance on the pitch. Suryavanshi also acknowledged that he was happy with the results of his previous efforts and that he was only thinking about the ball and nothing else.

It’s a really pleasant sensation. I’m in my third innings of the IPL and this is my first hundred. Following the practice before to the tournament, the outcome is displayed here. I simply play when I see the ball. It’s excellent to bat alongside Jaiswal because he gives me instructions and instills great energy. Getting a 100 in the IPL has always been a fantasy, and tonight it came true. There isn’t any fear. After winning Player of the Match, he remarked, “I just concentrate on playing, I don’t think much.”
