As a result, in the midst of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, a number of IPL teams have begun training with a few players in the guise of a preparatory camp. Similar to this, the Rajasthan Royals (RR), one of the most well-liked teams, began their preparations by acquiring a few young, promising players at the IPL mega auctions.
India’s T20 cricket festival has already begun, with spectators flocking to stadiums to watch their favorite players, whether they are women’s cricket players or former heroes. The Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) is already vying for fans’ attention, while the highly anticipated Women’s Premier League (WPL 2025) is already delighting them.
Notably, the auction took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for the first time in the Middle East. One of the most unusual player clashes stood out, even if the fierce bidding battles saw the setting of multiple records. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was the youngest player ever purchased in the history of the league.
‘Romi’ sir and Suryavanshi were seen engaging in a fun bat-and-ball match in the most recent Royals video. Suryavanshi was smashing Romi’s balls out of the park for fun, while Romi was having a hard time with his spin bowling. Notably, the two were vying for a bat that belonged to none other than MS Dhoni, the legendary Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player and former captain of India. The video has been going viral on social media ever after the teenage genius finally got his hands on his prize, which he had long coveted.

Suryavanshi played in the Asia Cup for India U19 after being purchased by the Rajasthan Royals for a hefty sum.
As for Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the 13-year-old made news when the IPL teams engaged in a fierce competition to select him for their teams in an attempt to make an investment in the future. Notably, during the IPL 2025 mega auctions, the Rajasthan Royals paid an incredible INR 1.10 crore for Suryavanshi.
He was under pressure to succeed after landing the lucrative IPL contract because he was selected for the Indian team at the Under 19 Asia Cup last year. He flopped with the bat, scoring only one and twenty-three runs in his first two appearances. However, Suryavanshi led his team to a commanding 10-wicket victory in his third match against the UAE with a scorching 76-run knock off just 46 balls.
