Venkatesh Iyer, the standout all-around player for the Kolkata Knight Riders, married Shruti Raghunathan on June 2, a few days after the team won the IPL 2024 title. The pair, who became engaged in November of last year, exchanged vows in front of family and friends during a customary ceremony.
The newlywed couple was shown wearing traditional South Indian wedding clothes in photos from Iyer’s wedding ceremony that went viral on social media. Both appeared to be fulfilling the traditional Indian marital rites.

Venkatesh Iyer is occupied with his cricket game, but Shruti has a B.Com. from PSG College of Arts and Science and a Master’s degree in Fashion Management from NIFT, India. She is presently employed as a merchandise planner by Lifestyle International Private Limited in Bengaluru.
Following a brilliant IPL season in which he was instrumental in KKR’s third IPL title victory, Iyer has been enjoying himself greatly. In the championship match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the 29-year-old struck four boundaries and three enormous sixes in an incredible 52, not out off just 26 balls. Under Shreyas Iyer’s leadership, his valour helped KKR to an unforgettable triumph.
