Watching his 14-year-old post-match interview from the 2011 Indian Premier League made star Indian batsman Virat Kohli chuckle uncontrollably. After scoring a brilliant 56 runs off of 38 deliveries against the Delhi Daredevils
(now the Delhi Capitals), a youthful Virat Kohli was shown in the video winning his first-ever IPL Player of the Match award.
In Delhi, the 22-year-old stole the show as he formed a partnership with Chris Gayle and helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) chase down 162. 14 years later, though, it was his own comments from the post-match interview that drew his attention rather than the innings.
“To tell the truth, I had no intention of batting that way. Chris let me take over, though, as I began to hit the ball well. “I was hitting it well, so I could go for my shots, and that was the plan in the middle so that he could play himself in,” he stated in the previous interview.
The seasoned batter was embarrassed by his words and grinned after hearing this. He drew attention to his misunderstanding at the time and the influence of social media, which has enabled fans to revisit and evaluate classic conversations.
It’s unclear to me what I stated. It must have come from someplace, you people. Could Chris be a liar? Whoah! (Observe the miscommunication) Galat fehmi dekh lo! He stated on ’18 Calling 18′ on JioHotstar, “Since the rise of social media, admirers have begun analysing players’ quotes, which has become far too twisted.”

On April 10, the RCB and DC will square off.
At a strike rate of 154.70, the 36-year-old has amassed 164 runs in four innings during the current season, including two fifties. At the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday, when RCB prepares to play the Delhi Capitals, Kohli is poised to accomplish yet another feat.
He will become the first Indian and the second player overall (after David Warner) to reach 100 T20 half-centuries if he scores at least 50 runs. Furthermore, he is the first Indian player to reach the 13,000-run milestone in T20s, and only the fifth player overall with 13,050 T20 runs in 403 games. The batting virtuoso also has 998 boundaries (720 fours and 278 sixes) in the IPL right now, and he needs just two more to become the first player in the history of the competition to hit 1,000 boundaries.
