On Sunday, April 20, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal combined to score four runs during the Punjab Kings vs. Royal Challengers Bengaluru match at the Mullanpur Cricket Stadium. It’s worth noting that this was the Padikkal’s second time in the IPL to achieve this rare.
The left-hander flicked a delivery from Arshdeep Singh to a deep midwicket region that was empty. There was a lot of ground to traverse to get the ball because the outfield fielder had just been shifted to deep square leg. By the time the throw was fired in, the middle hitters had managed to get back for four runs, but the fielder had ultimately stopped the ball from reaching the boundary cushion.
Wait did someone say, Yo-Yo Test?
Running four in a T20 match? That’s pure hustle from #ViratKohli & #DevduttPadikkal!

As the RCB’s Impact Player, Devdutt Padikkal scored an incredible 61 off of 34 balls.
Five fours and four sixes were hit throughout the spectacular innings. On the third delivery of the thirteenth over, Harpreet Brar, the Impact Player for PBKS, sent him back, ending his tenure in the middle.
At the completion of their 20 overs earlier in the evening, RCB had successfully held the hosts to 157/6. Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya, both spinners, were outstanding with the ball, taking a few wickets each while giving up just 25 and 26 runs, respectively. During his four-over stint, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was extremely frugal, giving up just 26 runs.
Prabhsimran Singh top-scored with 33 (17) while Josh Inglis played the same number of deliveries and scored 29. Skipper Shreyas Iyer had a disappointing outing, scoring only six off 10 balls. Shashank Singh (31* off 33) and Marco Jansen (25* off 20) remained unbeaten at the end.
