The third player from India to reach 400 T20 appearances was Virat Kohli. When Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season opener at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, he accomplished this achievement.
Joining Rohit Sharma (448) and Dinesh Karthik (412), he is now the only player to have played 400 or more Twenty20 matches.
He has participated in 268 RCB games, 127 Indian games, and five Delhi games in his 400 T20s.
The IPL’s top scorer, Virat Kohli, has amassed over 8,000 runs, including eight tonnes and fifty-five fifties.
He has also scored more than 50 runs and amassed over 4,000 T20 International (T20I) runs for India.
With 12,886 runs overall, Kohli is only 28 runs away from ranking among the top five goal scorers in T20 cricket. RCB will play the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday, March 28, following their opening match against KKR.
