During Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s run-chase against Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 1 of the 2025 Indian Premier League, Virat Kohli settled into a rhythm after hitting two consecutive sixes off Spencer Johnson’s bowling.
The two images were nearly the same as one another.
With a batsman score of 12 off five, Virat Kohli fiercely hit Spencer’s full-length delivery over his head for a maximum in the straight long-off area.
Served up in the slot from left-arm-over once more, the very next delivery was identical. By guiding the delivery with his wrists to nearly the same location across the boundary cushion, Kohli was able to avoid missing out this time.

The Australian bowled a clean first over, but a four off the last pitch of the same over got him hauled for 17. By the end of the powerplay, RCB had amassed 80 runs without a loss, which was their second-highest first-six total in IPL history.
After a strong start, KKR is limited to 174.
In terms of the game’s first innings, KKR ultimately set a goal of 175 runs for the visitors. They were ranked at 107/2 at the end of 10 overs, but this still happened. Despite Quinton de Kock leaving early, Sunil Narine and Ajinkya Rahane continued to attack the RCB bowlers.
In the end, KKR reached a relatively modest total thanks to some disciplined death-overs bowling as well as the middle-order and lower middle-order hitters not producing. After taking three wickets and giving up 29 runs in his allotted four overs, Krunal Pandya emerged as the RCB’s most impressive bowler.
