Some of the top players in international cricket will compete in the IPL 2025, which is already being hailed as one of the largest events. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who are still vying for their first IPL championship, will have the support of the supporters. Once more, India batting great Virat Kohli will be the franchise’s biggest star.
Virat Kohli was recently spotted responding to questions during the press conference at the RCB Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit.
When asked who the hardest bowler he has ever faced was, the renowned hitter and four-time ICC trophy winner selected Jasprit Bumrah. He mentioned the conflicts he had with him in the nets as well as in the IPL. Virat has also mentioned how entertaining and difficult it is to play against him in the nets or during a game.
“Today Without a doubt I’ve had success against Jasprit (Bumrah), who is the best bowler in the world in all formats. When I play him, I think, “Okay, it’s going to be fun.” He has also got me out a few times in the IPL. You can tell that I’m at match intensity and he’s at match intensity because we don’t get to do that in the nets.
Even when he and I are in the nets, it feels like we’re playing an IPL match. I chase every ball to make runs while he tries to get me out. According to the four-time ICC Trophy winner, “he is probably the marker that I keep when I play him in the nets regularly. It is the most enjoyable and toughest challenge.”
