Star cricketer Virat Kohli has always been fond of hardcore Punjabi music, and has never shied away from expressing his love for the regional songs. Lately, he has also revealed Arijit Singh, the superstar Bollywood playback singer being one of his most-liked artists of all time. However, Virat’s current favourite chart buster is neither a Punjabi, nor an Arijit song.
Surprisingly, the song is none other than super popular melody by AR Rahman and Sid Sriram Tamil hit – Nee Singam Dhan. The song is from the movie Pathu Thala and released in April 2023. Virat has disclosed that he has been listening to the masterpiece on loop of late, which is slightly surprising because Tamil is a language that is not the mother tongue of the New Delhi-born.
“My favourite song? You will be shocked. (Plays the song on his phone and shows it to the camera) Nee Singam Dhan,” Virat said in a video posted by Royal Challengers Bengaluru on social media handles.

Speaking on Virat Kohli’s Indian Premier League 2025 campaign thus far, in the ten games he has played, the 36-year-old has performed at his peak.
With 443 runs to date, Virat has kept up an incredible batting average of 63.28 and a respectable strike-rate of 138.87. In addition to having six half-centuries, the outstanding opener is currently ranked second among IPL 2025 Orange Cap holders, just 13 runs behind Sai Sudharsan’s 456 from nine innings.
The match between Kohli and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and their bitter rivals, the Chennai Super Kings, is scheduled for May 3 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The previous meeting between the two teams at the location took place during the IPL 2024 league stage, where RCB qualified with a thrilling victory in the final over. To strengthen their standing on the table, the Bengaluru-based team will like to defeat the MS Dhoni-led CSK team once more.
Notably, RCB leads the points table at the moment after winning seven of ten games. They currently have 14 points, making them the only team with that total. Two more points on Saturday would almost guarantee their place in the playoffs. As for CSK, they are currently at the bottom of the table and have already been eliminated from the competition.
