On Thursday, February 6, the Indian squad will play England in Nagpur to begin the eagerly anticipated three-match ODI series. In addition to having several returning stars, this will be the squad’s final series before the Champions Trophy, which the team will be flying to Dubai for.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are the talents to watch.
The two Indian mainstays will strive to dominate in the ODI series, even though they may not have had the greatest of times in the most recent Test series. In addition, this will give them a chance to regain their form and confidence before the ICC event, where the seasoned pair hopes to help Men In Blue win a trophy.
As the squad arrives at the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) Stadium, practice sessions begin. In a recent video that was made public by the BCCI, Virat and Rohit can be seen batting in the nets looking fantastic. The two legends were displaying excellent ball timing, which bodes well for the England series, where they will face a formidable bowling attack that will include Mark Wood and Jofra Archer’s tremendous velocity.

Speaking of the last time the two players played in an ODI series, Rohit was the series’ top run scorer against Sri Lanka. However, in the three games he played against the Lankan Lions, Virat had a poor run, averaging just 19.33. In the forthcoming series against The Three Lions, the seasoned pair will seek to leave a lasting impression.
The only series the Indians played in 2024 was the ODIs versus Sri Lanka. With Virat finishing as the tournament’s top run scorer and Rohit, who is renowned for his ability to use his intent throughout the competition, scoring 597 runs at an average of 54.27, their ODI World Cup 2023 was a dream run for both of them.
