Earlier on opening day, India and Australia once again faced off in a feisty Boxing Day Test at the storied Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). When ace batsman Virat Kohli urged his teammates to avoid talking to Australian batsmen, the Indians’ intensity was evident.
Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne were at the crease when the incident happened. The stump microphone recorded Labuschagne and Mohammed Siraj Kolhi’s remarks after a brief exchange. throughout their amicable conversation, Kohli was heard saying, “Has ke baat nahi karna inse,” which translates to “Don’t talk to them laughingly.” Siraj and Labuschagne had previously exchanged some words throughout the series.

A shoulder push between Virat Kohli and Sam Konstas
Australian skipper Pat Cummins started the day by choosing to bat first, and it was a wise choice as rookie Sam Konstas scored an incredible half-century off just 52 balls. But it wasn’t simply his hitting that attracted attention. After a harmless shoulder bump, Konstas and Kohli got into a heated argument that needed umpires and other players to break up the heated fight into an agitated verbal exchange.
After the rookie repeatedly tried to push Bumrah, the former Indian captain and Konstas got into a heated argument. Even though Konstas had a strong innings, Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling ultimately defeated him. As of this writing, Labuschagne and Smith are on the pitch against the Indian bowlers, trying to lead their team to a solid first-innings total, and the score is at 155/2 after 46.3 overs.
