At the Wankhede Stadium, where the Mumbai Indians are now playing Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Virat Kohli was seen tossing his cap in annoyance after Yash Dayal and Jitesh Sharma miscalculated a high catch opportunity on the second delivery of the 12th over of the Mumbai Indians’ innings. The former captain of the RCB was clearly upset at the lost opportunity.
Suryakumar’s wild swipe on a slower delivery sent Dayal sliding beneath the ball as it shot skyward into the night. Meanwhile, Dayal was standing next to the centre of the field, and
Jitesh moved from behind the stumps to get there.
Because neither of them heard the other’s summons, Suryakumar managed to survive and finish a single.

It took RCB four deliveries to get their man. Suryakumar made a mistake and went to Liam Livingstone with an off-stump delivery that was hung outside. The all-round English batsman made a brilliant pouching catch after retracing his steps from wide mid-off.
Sixes were not part of Suryakumar’s knock. While in the middle, he was only able to score 28 runs. At MI, the captain was the fourth batter to leave. By the completion of 12 overs, the home team was 99/4. Dayal was dismissed twice that evening, the second time being the MI vice-captain.
RCB reached their 20-over quota of 221 earlier in the evening. Rajat Patidar (64 off 32) and Kohli (67 off 42) both scored 60s, which set the stage for Jitesh to finally let loose with his arsenal. He finished with an undefeated 40 off 19 deliveries as the wicketkeeper-batter.
